storybook-coverStories of Australian Science – this 24 page magazine was produced in association with the 5th World Conference of Science Journalists. Our team handled all aspects of this project.
The design is by Salt Creative.

It’s available here as a pdf:  Stories of Australian Science. It’s about 1.5 Mb.

The 5th World Conference of Science Journalists was held in Melbourne in April 2007.

Working with the Australian Science Communicators we led a bid team to the 4th Conference in Montreal. With Niall and Sarah in the roles of conference director and conference officer we then guided the conference development for the ASC. The conference attracted 620 delegates from over 50 countries. 120 international journalists received full or part scholarships. Most were from developing countries.

You can visit the conference website at www.scienceinmelbourne.org. Incidentally the design for the conference was also created by Salt Creative. Waldron Smith were our professional conference organiser and helped us stay on budget and substantially exceed our delegate targets.

The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science: 2004 to 2010
We’ve been working on storytelling and media liaison for the Prime Minister’s Prizes since 2004. Media coverage has steadily grown over that time. We usually obtain photo stories in most of the metro newspapers and significant television and radio coverage. Shac Communications work with us on the media liaison.
