What do our services cost?

For clients looking for continuity and on-call strategic and communication advice, we provide services on a retainer basis. Otherwise, we charge a one-off fee for specific projects.

A press release might only require half a day’s research and a limited distribution – say $550 to $1,100 in total, GST inclusive.

Or it might require a video news release, a press conference with two ministers and an international distribution and a $10,000 to $15,000 budget.

A media campaign for a small international conference would start from $10,000. But a comprehensive campaign such as running the media for the International Genetics Congress could require in the order of $60,000.

We’re happy to share our knowledge and skills. We want to see a more vibrant exchange between science organisations and the public. You can engage us to brain storm with your scientists or your existing public relations and media team on a casual basis.

The bottom line: it’s probably a lot less than you’re already spending on corporate public relations and investor relations. We’re specialists – passionate about science – we don’t try to cover everything else. We’re running with the low infrastructure costs (no city office), and subcontract out, so we can work with some of the best people in science communication.
