The Australian Science Communicators are hosting the conference in collaboration with the World Federation of Science Journalists.
Accommodation
There are a range of hotels in close proximity to the conference venue.
We have secured a discounted rate for some of the hotels nearby ranging from A$230 (for the Grand Hyatt) down to A$110. Closer to the time of the conference, we may not be able to secure these rates, however can still assist with finding you accommodation at a reasonable rate.

Booking details
Early arrival or late departure
Please note that the check in time for the conference hotels is from 2.00pm. Please indicate or notify the conference organisers in writing if you will be arriving early, as it may require you to pre-register the night before to guarantee immediate access to your hotel room. Please also indicate or notify the conference organisers in writing if you will arrive at your hotel after 6.00pm, as failure to do so may mean your room will be released.
How to book your accommodation
Please indicate on the registration form your accommodation requirements listing hotels in preferential order 1, 2, 3 etc. As there is limited space available at each hotel, it is important that you book early. Accommodation will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of registration form. To secure your accommodation booking, a deposit of one night's accommodation is required. All accommodation accounts to be settled by the delegate on site. All rates include GST.
Change of booking
Any change to a reservation must be notified to the conference organisers in writing and not directly to the hotel.
Payment of accommodation
Accommodation accounts are to be settled by the delegate on site direct with the Hotel. Waldron Smith Management will not accept cheques for accommodation payment.
Deadlines
The hotels impose strict cut off dates of 30 days prior to arrival; therefore any bookings made after 16 March 2007 will be on request only.
